Neoregelia ‘Pimiento’ is a vibrant and compact bromeliad hybrid celebrated for its spicy coloration and tidy rosette form. Growing approximately 4–6 inches across, its glossy green leaves are dramatically flushed with bright red or coral hues toward the center—creating a fiery focal point reminiscent of a ripe chili pepper.

This variety thrives in warm, humid conditions with bright, indirect light that intensifies its central coloration without scorching the foliage. It prefers a well-draining, airy substrate such as orchid bark mixed with perlite and peat moss. As with all Neoregelias, ‘Pimiento’ absorbs moisture through both its roots and its central cup—keep the cup lightly filled with fresh water and maintain slightly moist, non-soggy soil around the base.

After its discreet bloom deep within the rosette, Neoregelia ‘Pimiento’ produces pups (offsets) at the base, making for easy propagation and lush clumping.
