Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making any purchases. By completing a transaction, you agree to be bound by these rules and regulations, which release YEG Exotic Plant Crowd and its hobbyist members from any and all liabilities, now and in the future.

We are a group of passionate hobbyists dedicated to bringing Canadian-grown exotic plants to your doorstep. We strive to provide exceptional customer service. As with any online shopping experience, certain terms and conditions apply.

1. Sales Policy

  • All sales are final and non-refundable. No exceptions will be made.

  • In the rare event that a transaction must be cancelled (at our sole discretion), a digital gift card may be issued for future purchases.

  • If your plant(s) are damaged or fall ill while in our care (prior to shipping, pickup, or local delivery), you may be eligible for a digital gift card. This does not apply to issues arising after the plant leaves our possession, including during shipping or after pickup.

  • Purchases made with discount or promotional codes are not eligible for credits or gift cards.

  • Cash transactions are not eligible for future credits.

  • If you designate someone else to pick up or deliver your order, you assume all responsibility for the plant’s condition after it leaves our care. Please provide written consent via email (inquiries@yegexoticplantcrowd.ca) with your order number.

  • Important: Notify us within 24 hours of receiving your plant if you encounter any issues. We cannot offer support, refunds, or credits for plants after this period or once they are no longer in our possession.

  • We are not responsible for losses due to porch theft or courier misplacement. Shipping is always at the buyer’s risk. Our live arrival guarantee only covers the plant being alive upon receipt. Furthermore, if you fail to provide us with any and all shipping information including buzzer entry codes, drop off points, and information needed to make your delivery, our live arrival guarantee is VOID.

2. Shipping

  • Purolator is our preferred shipping provider. We do have access to UPS and FEDEX - you must let us know if you want these provider(s) and we may need to issue a second invoice to cover their premium fee(s).

  • We only ship within Canada. We do not ship internationally and cannot provide export documents. We will not ship to the USA.

  • Once a plant is picked up, delivered, or shipped, we are not responsible for its care or condition.

3. Payment

  • Full payment is required to secure your plant. We do not hold plants without payment.

  • We accept electronic payments only. Cheques and trades are not accepted, except for established local clients with prior approval from our administrators.

4. Plant Health Guarantee

  • All plants are thoroughly inspected and guaranteed pest-free at the time of shipping or pickup.

  • We provide photographic proof of plant health and cleanliness.

  • We cannot guarantee against pests that may hatch due to environmental changes during shipping or issues arising in the buyer’s environment.

5. Inventory

  • Inventory and availability are subject to change at any time without notice.

  • Plants are only reserved once payment is completed. Items left in your cart are not held.

  • Multiple orders can be combined upon request.

6. Shipping Method

  • We reserve the right to determine the best shipping method for your plant (bare-rooted, potted, or wrapped).

  • For special requests, please contact us before purchase.

7. Issue Reporting

  • Any issues with your order must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. After this period, we cannot offer replacements or additional support.

8. Agreement

  • By making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Your digital agreement is recorded and may be referenced in case of any dispute.

Personal Information & Privacy

We collect information to provide and improve our services, including:

  • Device Information: Collected via cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, and pixels to track site usage and improve your experience. Learn more about cookies and how to disable them at All About Cookies.

  • Order Information: Includes your name, billing/shipping address, payment details, email, and phone number. This information is securely stored by our e-commerce provider, Shopify, and not by YEG Exotic Plant Crowd members.

  • Payment Security: All payments are processed through PCI-compliant gateways (PayPal, Stripe) in accordance with Canadian law.

Updates to Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time without notice. All transactions are subject to the most current version at the time of purchase.
