Neoregelia ‘Tidbit’ is a true miniature gem, perfect for terrariums, vivariums, or compact indoor setups. This tiny cultivar, reaching just 3–4 inches across when mature, forms tight, slender rosettes accented by long stolons that create charming clusters. Its light green to yellow-green leaves are vividly striped and spotted with maroon or brown tiger-like markings, which deepen into richer hues under brighter light.
As a classic Neoregelia, ‘Tidbit’ thrives in strong filtered or bright indirect light to bring out its unique color patterns. It prefers warm, humid conditions and a well-draining, airy substrate (think orchid bark, perlite, or bromeliad mix). Keep its central cup lightly filled with fresh water and mist the foliage occasionally, while allowing the surrounding soil to dry slightly between waterings.
Despite its small size, Neoregelia ‘Tidbit’ is remarkably hardy and adapts to both potted and mounted growth. It may not produce showy blooms—the true beauty lies in its stunning foliage—but after flowering it will produce offset pups that continue the cycle. This petite powerhouse offers all the vibrant appeal and low-maintenance traits of larger Neos in a perfectly miniature form.
