Native to Goego Island in Sumatra, Indonesia, it’s especially sought after by plant collectors and indoor gardeners. This begonia stands out for its large, asymmetrical, shield-shaped leaves that display a deep green and bronze base color, often with a metallic or velvety sheen. Intricate pale green or silver veins create a beautiful web-like pattern across each leaf, while new growth emerges bronzy-red or burgundy and matures to rich green, with margins and undersides maintaining a reddish tint for added depth and visual appeal.
